Mead is an alcoholic drink made of honey and water. He is also often referred to as honey wine.
A pure mead contains HONEY, WATER and YEAST.
It is also possible to add various spices, fruits and fruit juices to the mead during fermentation.
Originally mead was produced by means of spontaneous fermentation. Nowadays, pure-bred yeasts are mostly used.
You can use port wine or cherry yeast, or special mead yeasts.
You can drink mead both hot and cold.
