Memorial rune stone for peace in Brömsebro - No. 2

The Peace of Brömsebro was concluded between Sweden and Denmark in 1645, ending the war of 1643–45.
Sweden received the islands of Öland and Gotland as well as the provinces of Jämtland and Härjedalen.
In addition, Sweden received Halland as a pledge for 30 years.
From the Swedish perspective, the exemption from the Øresund tariff was perhaps the most important of the conditions.
The peace meant that Denmark's position of power in the Nordic region was broken.
The peace lasted almost 12 years.
