Runestone from Istaby / Sölvesborg in Blekinge, Sweden - DR 359

The Istabyst is one of the few runestones from Blekinge in southern Sweden.
This part of what is now Sweden was under Danish rule during the Viking Age.
That's why this rune stone is also counted among the Danish rune stones.
Its inscription is written in the older Futhark.
It is dated to the 7th century (Vendel period) and is one of the most important runestones from the transition period between older and younger Futhhark.
Its inscription reads: Hådulv, Hjorulv's descendant, carved these runes after Härjulv.
